Journal Square in Jersey City is a fun and energetic area. It’s named after the old Jersey Journal newspaper that used to be there. The area has a real mix of everything – you have bustling businesses, lots of different types of residences, and it's a major transportation hub too. The PATH station there makes it easy to get into New York City in a matter of minutes.
One of my favorite highlights has to be the Loew’s Jersey Theatre. It’s a gorgeous old theater that adds to the charm and character of the area. This area has a mix of residents that lived in the area for many years, students from St. Peter’s University and Hudson County Community College, and many new residents calling Journal Square home too.
This area of Jersey City is going through a big boom. There are many new developments, but these still keep the area's unique charm. Whether you’re grabbing a bite at one of the many restaurants, catching a show at the Loew’s, or just soaking in the atmosphere, there’s always something interesting going on. It’s definitely a place worth visiting or moving to!
